Our Story

Faster, fairer, more personal

ArcForge Designs was founded by mechanical engineer Gean van Wyk with a simple goal: make quality custom metalwork faster, more affordable and more personal than the big fabrication shops. We keep our overheads low and handle file preparation, CNC plasma cutting and admin ourselves, so the savings go straight to you.

Because we’re a small team, you deal directly with the people doing the work. You get engineering input on your design, clear communication and quick turnarounds, without the runaround.

What We Do

From digital file to finished part

We turn your CAD drawings, DXF files and sketches into finished metal parts: CAD file preparation and nesting, CNC plasma cutting, MIG and TIG welding, grinding and deburring, and in-house painting. Powder coating and galvanising are available through our fabrication partners.

Gean van Wyk

Founder & CEO

Gean holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University (2025). Alongside running ArcForge, he works as a Lead Project and Designs Engineer at GrahamTek Systems, bringing real-world engineering experience to every job. He founded ArcForge Designs to give clients a faster, more affordable alternative to traditional cutting and fabrication shops. He personally handles design file preparation, CNC plasma cutting and client communication, so every job gets an engineer’s eye.

Carlton Forbes

Welder & Steelwork Specialist

Carlton is an experienced welder with 4 to 5 years in the trade, skilled in MIG and TIG welding as well as grinding and painting. He’s known for clean, neat finishes and takes pride in work that looks as good as it performs.
