Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required upon drawing/nesting approval, before raw material is purchased or cutting commences. The remaining 50% balance is due in full via EFT prior to, or upon, collection or dispatch of finished parts.

Once a deposit has been paid, the order is confirmed and the deposit is non-refundable, as it secures materials and workshop time. Only if you cancel before material has been cut, we will deduct the cost of materials and work already committed from the deposit and refund any remainder at our discretion.

The balance is paid via EFT, and bank details are provided on the quotation and invoice. No goods are released from the workshop until cleared funds reflect in the ArcForge Designs bank account.

Turnaround commences only once your deposit reflects and the final DXF drawing is signed off. Raw material is purchased and cutting begins after the 50% deposit has been paid and the drawing/nesting approved.

Standard turnaround is typically 2-4 business days, commencing only once the deposit reflects and the final DXF drawing is signed off. Lead times are confirmed per job and may vary with workshop capacity and material availability.

Circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as load-shedding, supplier shortages, extreme weather, civil unrest or equipment failure, can also affect lead times. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible.

Both. Collection is by appointment at the ArcForge workshop upon completion notice. Delivery can be arranged at an additional fee on request.

Completed orders not collected or accepted for delivery within 14 calendar days of completion notice may incur a storage fee of R100 per day.

Our CNC plasma cutter handles:

• Mild steel: 1mm – 16mm (up to 20mm on request)
• Stainless steel (304 & 316): 1mm – 10mm
• Aluminium: 2mm – 8mm
• Tread (checkered) plate: 3mm – 6mm

Custom stock gauges are available on request. Parts are cut to standard CNC thermal plasma tolerances appropriate to plate thickness. See our capabilities for more detail.

Only where explicitly itemised on your quote. Tab removal, deburring and surface finishing are not included otherwise, and minor manual touch-ups or tab removal then remain your responsibility.

Standard dross, mill scale, minor edge bevel and pierce marks are inherent to the plasma cutting process and are not defects.

Yes. Welding is carried out to standard workshop practice for the material and application specified. Any structural, load-bearing or certified-weld requirements must be disclosed in writing before work begins.

Quotations are calculated on the physical material footprint of the ordered components only. Unless you explicitly purchase the full raw sheet footprint, standard offcuts and skeleton scrap remain the property of ArcForge Designs.

Where we create or modify a design, drawing or nesting layout for you, ownership of that work passes to you once it has been paid for in full. We may retain copies for record-keeping and quality-control purposes.

Our Privacy Policy sets out how long we keep files: customer files and drawings for completed jobs are kept for 24 months, and quotations that do not proceed for 12 months.
